Project leader John Livingstone says that the response from the Intermediate and High Schools has been most encouraging and all signs point to a most successful event.

"At this stage there will be some 110 students from 10 schools participating at 17 venues in the central city area", he said.

The festival runs between 9:30am and 1:30pm on Saturday 3 March 2012. Participating venues include Cafe Brie, The Gallery, Marbecks, Robert Harris, Cafe OE, The Verdict, Bethany's, Nandos, The Bean Cafe, Stage Door Cafe, Scholars Cafe, Elm Cafe and The Cooperage.

The Youth Music Festival 2012 is a Rotary Club of Palmerston North community project sponsored by the Palmerston North City Council.
